For yet another year WeMakeVR returned to the festivalground of Into The Great Wide Open at Vlieland, The Netherlands. This year we contacted several bands that were set to play at the festival if they wanted to take part in our so-called 360-sessions.
With a total of eight artists we planned brief recordings sessions where they would either perform an acoustic version of one of their songs or do an interview. All these sessions were recorded using a 360 camera.
With again a small-crew my colleagues and I set out to the island. Per usual I was responsible for all the gear that we brought and I was the Director of Photography. Then again, since we were with a small team I also ended up directing some of the shots and managing the data load that we collected at the festival. In post-production I've taken on the planning while stitching and editing half of the artists sessions. To be released later this year.
